Madelaine’s research

Madelaine in Year 5 has been learning about the Second World War and it’s imapct on British life. For homework she has created a research based project on her great grandfather who was conscripted. Her homework is engaging, well researched and full of poignant of primary sources that tell a remarkable story.

Remember, Remember the 5th of November…

Today, Reception have been learning about Bonfire Night. The children enjoyed finding out about Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot. We have been very busy creating our own fireworks pictures and making sparklers. Tomorrow we will be writing labels and captions for our pictures.

We also enjoyed tasting some chocolate apples! 

Year 5 and World War 2 homework

During the Atumn term Year 5 study the impact of the Second World War on life in Britain. In addition to learning in school and a planned visit to the local war memorial the children have completed homework projects.

Today Charlie, Ashton and Oscar were given a Deputy Head Teacher’s award for the quality and effort theyvhd made.
