As part of our RE topic Year 4 visited the Methodist Church on Manchester Road to learn all about the symbolism of the Christingle and sing Christmas carols. We received a very warm welcome by the vicar and other members of the church. All the children made their own Christingle. If you would like to make your own Christingle, please follow this link: http://www.topmarks.co.uk/christmas/Christingle.aspx

Wood St Mission visit school
Preparing for Harvest
In assembly we talked about our preparations for harvest – we looked at the many donations of food that had already arrived into school before our visit on Thursday from the Wood-street Mission. We thought about why harvest happened in Autumn and also listened to the piece of music ‘All Things Bright and Beautiful’.
