Year 6 Leavers’ Party
On Thursday evening, we held a party in the school hall for our Year 6 ‘Leavers’. They had great fun and enjoyed a feast provided by Mrs Landers, our school cook!
Year 3 & Year 6 Sports Days
Our re-scheduled sports days took place this week – the sun came out for us! Thank you to our parents for all their support – your attendance made these days extra special for our children.

Year 6 Saxophone Group
We are very proud of our Year 6 Saxophone Group, who performed at the Salford MAPAS Summer Showcase Concert on Monday 11th July. This term, they have taken part in a new Transition Project – learning the saxophone alongside children from other Salford primary schools and Year 7 pupils from Moorside High School.
Trips & Visitors!
Over the past week, many of our children have been out of school on trips or taken part in workshops in school:

Year 5 Ancient Egyptians Workshops
Year 6 Activity Week
Year 6 had an excellent week enjoying a variety of activties in and out of school . These included: canoeing, shelter building, team building and paddle-boarding at Trafford Watersports Centre; climbing and bouldering at Manchester Climbing Centre and a CSI Escape Room Experience. Sports Days at Grosvenor Road
This week, our children have very much enjoyed taking part in their Sports Days and we were very pleased to welcome many of our parents into school to support them.
Below are photographs of Nursery, Reception, Year 1, 2, 4 & 5. Unfortunately, due to poor weather, Year 3 & 6 Sports Days have been postponed – we look forward to their events next Wednesday (13th July).
Thank you to ALL our Premier Education Sports Coaches who organised each day so well and who help all our children to ‘be the best they can be’ in PE throughout the year.
All children were placed in one of six teams – when all our Sports Days are complete, we will announce the winning team and present the Grosvenor Road Sports Day Trophy in our assemblies!
