YOUNG VOICES 2020

All our choir’s hard work in rehearsals over the past few months paid off at our spectacular Young Voices Concert on Friday. We were amongst 8351 children who performed at Manchester Arena as part of ‘The Largest School Choir Concerts in the World’.

We are extremely proud of our children’s fantastic singing, their super dance moves and their impeccable behaviour during the rehearsal and concert at the Arena. Here are some photographs and video from our amazing day – a truly memorable experience for all of us!

Children’s University ceremony

On Tuesday, 22 children attended the Children’s University graduation at Salford University.  Over the course of the year, each child who had taken part in a school extra-curricular activity gained credits to achieve Children’s University awards. This year, we had children who achieved bronze, silver and gold awards, which is amazing. The children and parents who attended the ceremony thoroughly enjoyed themselves and were a credit to the school.

Remember, your credits from this year roll over to next year, so keep going to the extra-curricular activities to gain even more credits and achieve your next award!

The Lion King Y6-1

Today, as part of our world of work week, UKS2 were visited by West End Schools who talked to them all about the theatre industry and also worked with them to produce a short musical version of The Lion King, which they performed to each other. They worked incredibly hard and threw themselves into it – as you can see from the photos below. Well done everyone who took part.

New Playground Equipment June 2019

The equipment which we were able to purchase from funds raised by our Sponsored Pancake Flip has arrived!

Our final sponsor money total was £3,199.00!

The School Council have been very busy completing a survey to find out what equipment our children would like and they were responsible for placing the substantial order with our school suppliers. Equipment was purchased for ALL playgrounds in school and included: basketball hoops; football nets; a rebounder net; playground games such as Connect 4, Chess, Twister and Jenga; a nature hunt set; badminton sets, bats and balls, balance boards, skipping ropes, frisbees, ribbon wands, all types of balls, stilts, hula hoops, beanbag boccia sets, scoops, skittles and croquet.
