On Thursday 16th November, our Year 4 children visited The Grosvenor Museum in Chester to extend their learning on The Romans. They took part in workshops and visited the the museum’s extensive collection of Roman artefacts.
Year 4 also became part of the Roman Army for a while, taking part in a marching tour of Chester, including visiting the Chester Ampitheatre!
On Wednesday 15th November, our twelve School Council members visited the Swinton Cenotaph to lay our school poppy wreath on behalf of our children and staff.
This year, we also met with Mr Glen Croston, a member of Salford Veterans Association, who spoke to the children about the new Veterans Memorial Garden – this now includes 23 memorial benches, a memorial board and 12 silhouette military figures.
Lest we forget…
We are very pleased to announce that our Spooky or Sparkle Non-Uniform Day and Competition have raised the fantastic sum of £753 for our PTA fund.
Well done everyone and THANK YOU for your support!
