SCHOOL COUNCIL VISIT TO SWINTON CENOTAPH

On Wednesday 15th November, our twelve School Council members visited the Swinton Cenotaph to lay our school poppy wreath on behalf of our children and staff.

This year, we also met with Mr Glen Croston, a member of Salford Veterans Association, who spoke to the children about the new Veterans Memorial Garden – this now includes 23 memorial benches, a memorial board and 12 silhouette military figures.

Lest we forget…

SPOOKY OR SPARKLE COMPETITION

THANK YOU to everyone who supported our PTA’s competition to guess the number of chocolate eyeballs/coins in the Spooky Pumpkin or Sparkle Box.

The children who won the competition were from Mrs Tinkler’s Nursery class and Mrs Woodcock’s Reception class and they each received their £25 giftcard prize this morning. Our Nursery and Reception children will also receive a share of the chocolate goodies!

The pumpkin contained 245 chocolate eyeballs (winner guessed 246) and the box contained 170 chocolate coins (winner guessed 172)
