Today, Miss Norris’ Class showed us their excellent knowledge of Childhood In Victorian Times in their class assembly. They shared their recent learning with some of our younger children and a packed hall of parents and carers. Well done to 3LN for their fabulous singing alongside lots of interesting facts.
Our parents and carers then joined the children back in class – sharing their recent work and taking part in activities. Below are some photographs from this morning.
On Thursday, Miss Sutton’s class presented their learning about The Romans to their parents and some of our younger classes. They told us all about Roman life and also entertained us with a song about Boudicca.
Afterwards, all our parents visited the classroom to see their children’s work and join in some topic activities.
This week, in Reception, we have been reading the story ‘Supertato’. The Evil Pea has been playing tricks in our classrooms and we have been completing some writing challenges to help save Supertato. We even made and tasted our own vegetable soup!
In Year 4, we have been learning about melting. We used boiling water to heat up different materials and observed to see if they would melt and how long it took. We then grouped the materials by whether they do or do not melt.
