This term, we launched a new programme in school called WORD AWARE – this is a structured whole school approach to promote the vocabulary development of all children. In our special assemblies, led by Mr Pridden and Mrs Johns, we focussed on the excellent book The Word Collector by Peter H Reynolds.

We aim to get the children excited about exploring vocabulary, as well as incorporating the teaching of specific words through the curriculum. Please ask your child about their focus words for the week and our ‘Goldilocks’ words!

We would like to thank all our families for their generous donations to our Harvest Festival. This has now been collected by the Salford Foodbank, to be distributed to those in need in our community.

Our School Council worked very hard to organise our collection and here they are with the display, then helping to load the many bagfuls to the Foodbank van.
