This week, we celebrated Shrove Tuesday in school with our sponsored pancake flip. All our children have had a great time – trying to flip as many pancakes as possible in 2 minutes! Thank you to our PTA for organising this event and thank you to all those who have sponsored the children

Y1 Trip to The Lowry
Y1 had a great time today at The Lowry. The children worked as artists, with an artist, to produce work in the style of Lowry. The concentration the children showed during their creations was amazing to see!
The children also had the opportunity to visit the Lowry gallery and see his original paintings. We spent time studying Lowry’s paintings and we made our own sketches based on his work.
Volcanoes Assembly by 3LL Class
Today Miss Livesey’s class presented their assembly on their recent topic – Volcanoes. All the children spoke confidently about their learning and sang their fantastic Volcano Song. Well done to all of you – you were amazing!
Thank you very much to all the parents/carers who joined us – the children were very excited to share their work with you.
Year 3/4 Basketball Competition
Yesterday, a group of children from Year 3 and 4 competed in a Basketball competition against other local schools. The children played really well and demonstrated perseverance and team work!
Romans Assembly by 4ED Class
On Thursday, Miss Duffy’s class led an assembly for their parents and some of our younger children. The children shared their learning on their recent topic – The Romans.
All the children delivered their lines clearly and confidently and their overall presentation was excellent; we also had some super singing! Afterwards, our parents came back to the classroom to look at their children’s topic work and share in ‘Roman activities’.
Thank you to all the parents/carers who were able to join us. Our Year 3&4 assemblies will continue throughout the Spring Term – next week our assembly will feature Miss Livesey’s class.
YOUNG VOICES 2020
All our choir’s hard work in rehearsals over the past few months paid off at our spectacular Young Voices Concert on Friday. We were amongst 8351 children who performed at Manchester Arena as part of ‘The Largest School Choir Concerts in the World’.
We are extremely proud of our children’s fantastic singing, their super dance moves and their impeccable behaviour during the rehearsal and concert at the Arena. Here are some photographs and video from our amazing day – a truly memorable experience for all of us!
